Lights, camera, action…the Hollywood Beauty Awards were handed out Saturday night at The Avalon in Hollywood (err…naturally). Although the night was mostly about celebrating glam squads and celebrity stylists, the red carpet looks worn by the stars (all dressed in black, we might add) in attendance stole some of the limelight…in a good way.

Canadian cutie Nina Dobrev looked picture perfect in a one-shoulder, bejewelled—check that sparkle—Michael Kors gown. Dobrev’s centre part and bold lip lent to her glamorous look, as did the gown’s thigh-high slit that revealed her gorgeous gams.

Enlisting designer Michael Costello for her custom, leather jumpsuit, songstress Ciara looked nothing short of fierce. The overall body-hugging fit, strong-shoulders, and revealing neckline, showed off her enviable figure, and delivered a hint of badass.

Ashlee Simpson Ross went full sequins, in a shiny, black Galia Lahav dress with major shoulder pads. Accessorizing with statement earrings, cocktail rings, and husband Evan (Ross), the blonde beauty dressed to impress.

Presenting the Lori McCoy-Bell Hairstyling Award to Chris Appleton, Kim Kardashian hit up the archives and wore a barely there, vintage Thierry Mugler dress. Luckily, no hair or wardrobe malfunctions ensued.
