The 95th annual Academy Awards have come and gone, with Everything Everywhere All At Once turning heads and claiming many of the major awards. While the films are the spotlight of the event, it’s the celebrities who always get major attention around the world for what they wore on the red (or campaign coloured as it was this year) carpet and to walk up on stage to claim their statues or present awards. Check out the best dresses and boldest jewelry worn by celebrities at the 2023 Oscars.
Michelle Yeoh
One of the highlights of the night was of course Michelle Yeoh becoming the first Asian, and only the second person of colour, to win the Best Actress Award for her role in Everything Everywhere All At Once. Not only did she give one of the best acceptance speeches of the evening, but she shone on the red carpet in her Dior Haute Couture gown with rows of delicate feathers. Of course the sparkling gems helped as well, including the ones she wore in her headband.

Angela Bassett
Angela Bassett played a Queen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, so it’s only right that the Oscar nominated actress wore a purple Moschino dress. It featured an exaggerated bow neckline and mermaid hem . Her high-jewelry necklace was provided by Serpenti.

Cara Delevigne
Before presenting at the 95th Academy Awards, Cara Delevingne turned heads in a stunning crimson Elie Saab gown. The one-shoulder silk gown was accented by a lush bow, and Bulgari high jewels including a Serpenti diamond choker. It’s great to see the model turned actress has started taking care of herself after struggling with sobriety for so many years.

Emily Blunt
To say Emily Blunt looked elegant at the 2023 Oscars is putting it mildly. The actress presented the first award of the show alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson wearing this white Valentino form-fitting, off-the-shoulder gown. The actress paired it with a white clutch embellished with pearls and silver applique, and dangling, bejeweled earrings.

Jennifer Connelly
While Jennifer Connellly may have worn a simple Louis Vuitton column dress, her look made her one of the best dressed of the night. The inverted neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves helped the former Oscar winner shine on both the red carpet and the main stage.

Ana de Armas
Nominated for best actress for her role as Marilyn Munroe in the fictionalized biopic Blonde, Armas brought her A-Game in this custom silk gown by Louis Vuitton. The mermaid-style dress featured a 3D degrade scalloped train, and shone even brighter thanks to the white gold and diamond earrings, bracelet and ring supplied by Louis Vuitton High Jewellery.

Jamie Lee Curtis
It’s hard to believe that Curtis hadn’t been nominated for an Academy Award before this year, but the actress definitely made the most of it by winning the statue for Best Supporting Actress on her first try. Wearing a Dolce & Gabbana gown featuring the trending corset boning look, the actress looked radiant both on and off the red carpet. The blush-hued gown was hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals, and is part of the label’s Alta Moda collection.
