By: Anita Hosanna (@anitahosanna)

This year is making out to be another one for the records – 2022 hasn’t even entered the second quarter, yet we’ve got more designer fashion collaborations than we can count! More and more designers are teaming up with fellow brands, exchanging DNA and swapping aesthetics. The result is, well… you tell us! Here are 7 of the latest and hottest fashion collaborations of this year so far, and where you can shop them:

1. adidas x Rich Mnisi

Rich Mnisi is the young fashion designer from South Africa making a mark on the international arena! His designs are bold and vibrant, become go to choices for names like Ciara, Beyonce and Naomi Campbell. In February Adidas x Rich Mnisi released their collection together, shop below!

Barbie x Balmain

On January 13th, Balmain made it possible to be a Barbie girl in a Barbie world! The Barbie and Balmain collab was nothing short of what we anticipated. Dollish fits, toy-like accessories with pink everywhere, and many took a liking to it! Though the collection sold out fast, some of the looks are still available while quantities last.

Burberry x Supreme

When Supreme and Burberry announced a capsule collection together, it was definitely a throwback moment! The last time we saw a cross-over between these two was 25 years ago during their first collaboration together. The garments themselves give a sense of vintage and the 90s. With this joint effort, Burberry will exclusively sell items items include ing funnel-neck jacket, jogging pants and silk pyjama set. Supreme’s exclusive items for sale are a car coat, shearling-collar puffer jacket, trucker jacket, rugby top, hooded sweatshirt, jeans, denim shorts, T-shirt, crusher hat, six-panel cap and skateboard.

Gap x Dapper Dan

This one made history as Dapper Dan is the first designer to ever have their name on a Gap hoodie! Unfortunately there collab is completely out of stock as it sold out within less than 10 minutes of going live to the public on March 10th.

Gentle Monster x Coperni

Coperni and Gentle Monster joined forces to deliver a futuristic collection of specs inspired by 5G technology. The specs are chunky and goggle-like in the best way possible. They come in two different shapes, a cat-eye and a sportier frame (seen on Rihanna here below), as well as several different colour ways incorporating black, white, pink and yellow.

Jimmy Choo x Mugler

Every fashion girl’s collab of choice right now is Jimmy Choo x Mugler! This designer mashup brought all the things we’ve always loved about Thierry Mugler, like his signature sheer paneling against dramatic black lines, to the Jimmy Choo footwear game! Not to mention that the addition of neon green to Mugler’s palette was not only unexpected and rather refreshing.

Yeezy Gap x Balenciaga

Kanye West, Balenciaga’s Denma and Gap came together in the launch of ‘Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga’ just at the end of February. The news was announced when Kanye took to his Instagram to leak images of pieces from the capsule. Gender neutral wardrobe basics with a looser silhouette, such as hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, a denim jacket and more create the bulk of the collection. Although not yet sold out, the collection is only available for pre-order at the time of writing this article!
