Kate Upton has some strong words for Victoria’s Secret. The 27-year-old model shared her thoughts on the brand and what they are doing wrong while on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen”.
USA Today reported that when a caller asked for her reaction to Victoria’s Secret possibly not having their well-known runway show this year she responded that the fashion company is due for a wake-up call. “You know what, we’re sick of seeing the same body type,” the 27-year-old said. “You have to be body inclusive now. Every woman needs to be represented. Otherwise it’s a snoozefest.”
Earlier this month Upton shared her thoughts on unhealthy attitudes and photo retouching in the September 2019 issue of Health Magazine where she posed in a series of photos that hadn’t undergone any retouching. She told the magazine “When you think about it, we have retouching everywhere now—and we don’t even know it. People are staging Instagram shots and retouching those pictures. That’s the new norm. And then we believe that’s how people actually look, and think we should look that way too. So, for me, doing an unretouched shoot is a step toward embracing real life. The goal should be to be the best you can be—not try to look like someone else.
