Dress

Your prom dress is perhaps the most essential item of the whole day, you want it to be everything you ever dreamed of. However, so many prom queens spend a lot of money on their dress when it’s just not needed. Purchasing your dress online can save a lot of money, so it’s always worth researching the different designs and styles. Many prom princesses choose to try on dresses in store and then go away and order online. This is a great way to make sure it suits your figure but also doesn’t cost a lot of unnecessary money. Cheap prom dresses aren’t bad quality if you look for websites and retailers who have great previous customer reviews and a good name for themselves in the fashion industry.

Jewelry

After purchasing your dress, you have to think about the jewelry and accessories that match the dress. Most prom dresses will pair with either gold, silver, or rose gold pieces but if you’re choosing to be a little bolder, then you could choose plastic pieces that are black, red, or another color. Classical and traditional dresses tend to work best with the elegant metal colors, but it’s entirely your decision on what you opt for. Again, purchasing your jewelry online is a lot cheaper and more affordable than in-person shopping.

Hair & Makeup

Every princess needs to look and feel their best, you have the stunning dress lined up for you to wear on the big day, the jewelry to match. Now, it’s just time to decide on hair and makeup. For anyone who considers themselves skilled at beauty and hair, you may want to do your own. But, this could cause a lot of stress. The day is worrying enough without putting pressure on yourself to get the makeup and hair perfect too. Many girls who attend prom choose to opt for an appointment with a beauty and hair therapist which can be expensive, but around prom season they often do deals. Make sure to get your appointment sorted as early as possible as they get booked up pretty quickly, especially the talented ones!

Dinner

Your date may take you out for dinner before the big event, and if they do – then you’ve got nothing to worry about. However, sometimes prom queens go out with their family or friends, this is totally fine too, but you need to ensure you book your table at least 3 weeks in advance. Especially those who live in a small town, you don’t want to turn up on the night, all dressed for your big prom night, and get turned away! Many places will offer discounts if they know it’s your prom night so when you’re ordering ask them, and you could save a lot of money.
